I just read the article about IndyMac, and just felt sick! Being from California, I can tell you there was total panic when the government took this mortgage company over. That being said, there seems to be a lot of plans in the works to help save the two biggest mortgage companies that specifically target ensuring first-time home buyers and at risk home buyers still get a chance to purchase their own peice of real estate.
